What most people said

  • Most who compared pick the Gap of Dunloe; a few prefer Muckross Abbey and gardens, which are easy to walk yourself.
  • Allow about 90 minutes to reach the Wishing Bridge; many pair it with a boat through the Lakes of Killarney to Ross Castle.
  • Cars sit two comfortably; three or four fit but it's tight. Carts wait at the park, though pre-booking is advised in summer.
  • Most drivers stop for the season around the end of October, but you can still walk or drive the Gap.

What people said

  • You can then get a boat through the lakes of Killarney which is beautiful, so do the jaunting trip then catch the boat which drops you at Ross Castle.
  • I don't think the jaunting cars are running in November in the Gap of Dunloe. We were there earlier in October and most drivers were already done for the season. But you can still walk or drive the pass.
  • Neither. But if you do one, definitely Gap of Dunloe. Muckross Gardens and Abbey you can drive to and park and walk around easily yourself. The Gap is a much longer walk.
