The short version
This site has no display advertising, sponsored posts or paid placements.
The only income currently generated by this site is commission from qualifying bookings made through GetYourGuide affiliate links.
Businesses cannot pay to be listed, recommended or ranked higher. Our visitor rankings are calculated independently of affiliate commissions. A business does not need an affiliate relationship to rank first.
How the rankings work
Tips, sights and tours are ranked by the number of qualifying visitor reports mentioning them in trip reports and forum discussions.
The same counting method applies whether an item has an affiliate link or not. Affiliate commissions, payments and commercial relationships do not influence the ranking calculation. Businesses cannot buy or negotiate a better ranking.

Where affiliate links are
Some “Check tickets and times” buttons link to GetYourGuide. These are affiliate links. If you make a qualifying booking through one, GetYourGuide pays us a commission. We do not charge you a separate fee for using our links.
We aim to label every affiliate booking link clearly with #Ad. If you spot one missing its label, please let us know.
“Official tickets” links go to the venue's own site or its designated ticket provider. We receive no commission from them.
What happens when you click
We don't send GetYourGuide your name, email address or personal account details. When you click a booking link, your browser connects directly to GetYourGuide and shares the technical information normally involved in visiting a website. The link also contains our partner reference so GetYourGuide can attribute qualifying bookings to this site. GetYourGuide's own privacy policy and cookies apply on its site.
We use a cookieless counter (GoatCounter) to record page views and clicks on tips and booking buttons, so we know which pages are useful. It does not store IP addresses, cookies or tracker IDs, and we don't use it to identify individual visitors or build advertising profiles. More in the privacy page.
Local picks and guides
A “Local pick” is chosen by the editor. It is not paid for and earns no commission.
Local guides can request a free listing. We don't charge for inclusion or receive commission from enquiries. Guides are listed once we've confirmed they are ATGI-approved and their website and contact details work.
